Dreams

I just want to know, how often do you guys remember your dreams, and how often are those dreams absurd? I keep having crazy dreams, but they make for excellent writing ideas. I don't get bored very often because I can always think of the many story ideas I have swirling around in my head, and most of them come from my dreams.  That makes me a daydreamer, but I'm fine with that, because it's the greatest entertainment I have in this world at the moment.

But really, do you remember your dreams and how crazy are they? (Feel free to share a dream with me too. I love hearing other people's random night adventures.)

Also, does anyone keep a dream journal or have you ever heard of one? Maybe I'll do a post about how beneficial dream journals are, because I'm a nerd like that.

I have an entire label on my blog devoted to my strange dreams. I thought I was weird in real life, and then I dreamed weirdness. :-)

I've been wanting to wright a small story that was so strange and awkward for me. I'll post it to my blog shortly.

BTW I always suggest looking up meaning and definitions online for what particular things in dreams mean. Google dream definitions and search what the different things are.

Oh, man...yeah. I have had some really bizzaro dreams that have been huge inspirations for creative writing for me. And I've had some that were just plain weird.

I would try to relate some of them right now, but it would be a short story in and of themselves and it is way too late in the day for me to make an attempt at it, but I have always found dreams really fascinating also.

Dream journals are awesome.

Interesting observation: I just read a study suggesting that people that remember their dreams are not getting adequate sleep at night and may be related to chemical imbalances in the brain. Who knows how accurate it may be, as science is always changing it's mind, but the study said something about the ability to remember only being when you are waking up in REM sleep or something like that.

Anyway, screw science. Remembering dreams is awesome. I am still trying to think up a way to record them and play them back on DVD. I'd make millions.

I remember my dreams often. Sometimes they are AWESOME (hello flying a broomstick!!!) sometimes they are scary (wait a sec... who's this guy, I want my husband back!!) and sometimes, yes, just plain WEIRD!
But oh my dreaming is fun. At least with scary dreams you can wake up and it's all over and not real. And with fun ones you can try it over and over and over! (I think I've flown a broomstick two or three times.)
